During Covid, all staff in the UK worked remotely / from home! As we move on from the pandemic, working from home remains. So from a pure logic point of view, if the quality, loyalty, ability, skill level and work ethos of the employee is very good, and their cost to company is circa 40% less, does it matter where they sit when you are having a Teams or Zoom meeting with them? 
 
One of the founder’s of Gemini WorX, Isobel Brett, started offshoring during Covid, a strategy she would not have considered if not for Covid! But she experienced, like many employers, the challenge of recruiting good quality, hard-working and loyal staff; so with the ‘Covid-mindset’, tried offshoring to Durban, South Africa. 18 months later, the initial staff she recruited are all still in their posts, having grown in their role and received promotion within the company.
